The Comments

Archival collections of the Vorša Land Provincial Court 1) in the Central Archives in Viciebsk (they are stored in the National Historical Archives of Belarus Republic in Miensk presently), which became the basis of the so-called "The Armorial of Orša", were severely damaged by fire and are in poor condition. Partial records lost irregularly (burned or damaged by water). For this reason, the gentry list is not fully represented. However, copies of the court's decrees can be found in NDA *) archives of Miensk, Vilnia, Horadnia and other Provinces.

The reconstructed Arms, shown in the edition, can be seen on the page "Belarusian Nobility Coats of Arms".

*) There is broken numbering in the source.

1) The Land Provincial Courts were established by decree of Empress Catherine 2nd on April 16, 1773, simultaneously with the creation of Mahiloŭ and Pskov Provinces. Six courts operated: Viciebsk, Mahiloŭ, Vorša, Połacak, Amścisłaŭ and Rahačoŭ. Liquidated by decrees of 03/22/1777 and 01/10/1778 in the consequence of the division of the provinces into the paviets (districts).

2) They'we the neophytes, so the documents with the indication of the arms name were not presented to the court.

3) There is only part of the arms image in the original documents - "half the goat turned to the right of the viewer".
